Your onsite crew’s knowledge of demolition and salvage was very beneficial in that Midwest Steel was able to salvage significant pieces of equipment, including several glass-lined reactors for resale. This reduced the overall demolition cost to Cytec and resulted in the award of the demolition contract to Midwest Steel. We had contacted several other vendors, but Midwest was the only company willing to handle both salvage and demolition as a single source. This made for a much smoother scheduling activity, less lost time and more recoverable assets, all benefits to Cytec.
