Midwest Steel Wins Top Honors for Best in Class Hard Crafts Division at Houston Business Roundtable and Houston Area Safety Council 2016 Safety Excellence Awards
Nearly 2,000 leaders from the refinery, petrochemical and industrial contractor community attended the 29th Annual Houston Business Roundtable Safety Excellence Awards at Moody Gardens on May 20, 2016.
After an intensive audit process conducted by teams of top HSE professionals from owner and contractor companies, HBR and HASC selected Bronze, Silver, Gold and Best in Category winners for exceptional safety performance, with a focus on the best practices that set medalists apart from hundreds of other nominees.
Nominated by Shell Oil Company’s Deer Park Refinery, Midwest Steel won the Top Honors for Best in Class Hard Crafts Division. Midwest Steel also brought home a Newcomer of the Year medal for winning top awards on its first nomination.
