Midwest Steel Uses Demolition Robot to Demolish Reinforced Concrete Tower

When a major construction firm needed an expert to demolish a huge spray tower at an Elemental Phosphorus Plant in the Rocky Mountain Region, they hired Midwest Steel Company.  This challenges posed by this project included demolishing the 570,000 pound, heavily-reinforced 2,500 PSI concrete tower without putting any workers on or close to the tower.  To overcome those challenges, Midwest Steel hauled a Brokk demolition robot over 2,000 miles to the job site, hoisted it to the top of the tower, and operating the robot remotely, demolished the tower safely to the asphalt.
