Midwest Steel has been recertified by the Women’s Business Enterprise Alliance National Council, a nationwide organization with corporate members who include BP America, CenterPoint Energy, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, Entergy, ExxonMobil, Fluor Corporation, KBR, Marathon Petroleum and Shell Oil Company.

Midwest Steel is the only Top 20 Specialty Contractor that is women-owned, and the only contractor that dismantles plants and demolishes tanks exclusively in plants, refineries and terminals. The president and CEO of Houston-based Midwest Steel is Tammy Horton, whose father founded the company 47 years ago.
